The right firmness depends primarily on your sleep position. Side sleepers typically need a softer surface (medium to medium-soft) to cushion shoulders and hips. Back sleepers usually do best with medium to medium-firm support that maintains spinal alignment. Stomach sleepers generally need firmer surfaces to prevent the hips from sinking too deeply. However, body weight also plays a role – lighter individuals may find the same mattress feels firmer than it does for someone heavier. We recommend visiting our showroom to test different options and lying in your typical sleep position for several minutes on each mattress.
Our 100-night trial gives you plenty of time to adjust to your new mattress in your own home. We recommend sleeping on it for at least 30 nights – your body needs time to adapt to a new sleep surface. If after the trial period you feel the mattress isn't right for you, contact us and we'll help you explore alternatives. If we can't find a suitable replacement, we can process a return. Please note that the mattress must be in sanitary, undamaged condition, and you'll need to use a mattress protector.
White-glove delivery is included free with every mattress purchase. Here's what it includes: Our delivery team will call you to schedule a convenient time window (typically a 2-4 hour range). On delivery day, they'll arrive at your home, bring the mattress to your room of choice, set it up on your foundation or bed frame, and remove all packaging materials. They'll also remove your old mattress and foundation if you've purchased removal service (included with delivery). You don't need to lift a finger – just be home to grant access.
Most quality mattresses last 8-12 years with proper care. Natural latex mattresses tend to last the longest – often 15+ years – because the latex doesn't break down as quickly as other foams. Memory foam mattresses typically last 8-10 years, while hybrids and innerspring mattresses usually last 8-10 years. Lifespan depends on factors like body weight, how often the mattress is used, and whether it's properly supported by a good foundation. Using a mattress protector and rotating the mattress every 3-6 months can help extend its life.
Yes, proper support is essential for mattress performance and longevity. All our mattresses require solid, rigid support that covers the entire sleep surface. This means platform beds, slatted frames with slats no more than 4 inches apart, or dedicated mattress foundations. Box springs (traditional spring foundations) can be used with innerspring mattresses but are not compatible with foam or latex mattresses. We recommend using the matching foundation from our collection for optimal performance and to maintain your warranty coverage.
We don't recommend placing your mattress directly on the floor. Mattresses need adequate air circulation to prevent moisture buildup, which can lead to mold, mildew, and premature breakdown of materials. Additionally, sleeping directly on the floor may not provide proper support for the mattress's intended design. If you need a low-profile setup, consider a low-profile foundation or platform bed that sits close to the ground while still allowing proper support and ventilation.
